The Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window...snow covers the ground once again. This time it is a wet, sloshy mess, but only about an inch or so. That's a far cry from the 6-8 inches we were expecting.

I am thinking...I would like to try to do a blog -so I am!

I am thankful for...my two grandsons coming to spend the afternoon with me. We didn't have time to do much of anything special, but I did make homemade potato soup for dinner.

From the kitchen...I still smell the faint scent of cinnamon from the pumpkin/chocolate chip cake I baked today.

I am wearing...my red knit pj's with lots of Scottie dogs stars.

I am creating...a scrapbook album of my Gift Shop, from 2002 to the present.

I am going...to work tomorrow, so I'd better hurry up and finish this.

I am reading...Oswald Chambers' My Utmost For His Highest. I found this as a leather-bound journal one day while browsing Sam's and have so far been able to keep up with each daily reading. Some deep stuff but I love it!

I am hoping...I will be able to get this blog posted tonight.

I am hearing...a song playing softly on KLove.

Around the house...It's all quiet. Hubby and Max and Mollie, my two Yorkies are already in bed asleep. Max is snoring the loudest.

One of my favorite things...is hot, creamy French Vanilla Cappuchinos from Speedway. I had one this morning. I guess I felt I deserved it after going out into the yucky rain/snow to make a bank deposit.

A few plans for the rest of the week...Lots of ordering for the shop, inventory to finish, spring display to set-up. If I have time, I brought down an old window from the garage loft that I'd like to try to scrap.

Here is a picture for the thought I am sharing...

These are the two handsome young men who stayed with me today.
